Doxologies of the New Testament.

With his heart overwhelmed with the glory and greatness of God, the writer of each doxology bursts out in spontaneous, majestic expressions, giving glory to God. The Holy Spirit, in inspiring these doxologies from the pens of the New Testament writers, has seen to it that God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are ascribed the glory due to them from the hearts of men. The wonderful thing is that we who are believers, can join with those writers both now and in a coming day.

These articles are not intended to be deep theological treatise, but rather devotional meditations on these lovely outbursts that have been recorded for us by the Holy Spirit.

We trust the result of these meditations will be a greater and deeper measure of worship from our hearts.

PHIL TOWNSHEND Saved at age 10, Phil grew up in an assembly based Christian home in South Africa. In 1977 he immigrated to Canada. Now retired he is in fellowship at Westview Gospel Chapel (Victioria, B.C.) He leads Bible Studies, preaches and has been involved in camp work for the last six years. He has written several articles for Spotlight on Israel magazine. He and his wife, Pratricia, have four children.
